Mainframe Software Developer (Onsite)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Mainframe Software Developer (Onsite) to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

A Mainframe Developer with good COBOL and JCL, DB2, and CICS skills who will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support critical business processes.

Job Responsibilities Include :

• Collaborating with business analysts and project managers to gather requirements and design technical solutions
• Creating and executing test plans to ensure application functionality and quality
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other developers to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest process improvements or new solutions.

Basic Qualifications :

Overall, a mainframe developer with these skills plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of mainframe applications that are essential to the operations of large organizations.
