Accounting Manager (18 month contract)

In the role of Accounting Manager you will focus on financial planning and management reporting across all wineries. You will use your strong technical abilities and interpersonal skills to handle a broad range of accounting and financial management duties including preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, management of team members, and leadership of process and system optimizations.
Accountabilities & Impact :
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of internal monthly and quarterly reports .
- Maintain and develop regular reporting across the winery functional areas and provide recommendations for improved financial performance.
- Assist in day-to-day accounting processes and ensure all transactions are recorded and reported accurately on a timely basis and in accordance with approved accounting policies and procedures.
- Own balance sheet review / reconciliation process
- Develop improved financial reporting, processes and use of technology .
- Lead, develop, empower a high performing team .
Skills & Experiences Needed :
- Completed bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field .
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in Finance.
- CPA designation is a requirement for this role.
- Experience with ERP systems and disparate sources of information to drive financial statement and KPI preparation .
- Experience in process improvement / automation.
