Partnering with stakeholders within both clinical and non-clinical areas, the Senior Financial Analyst will help drive optimized solutions for a large-scale organization with revenues in excess of $700 million. This role allows you to add value to evolving business models through financial planning and analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with Clinical and Corporate management teams as well as employees at all levels to address financial planning and analysis. This includes the development of annual and in-year operating budgets, monthly variance reviews to support operational discipline, forecasting and business case support. Sinai is also on a strategic plan of renewal and we are looking for individuals that embrace change and can support both our finance teams and our clinical leads in performance improvement and service enhancement. The position supports all aspects of financial and analytics for Sinai, and each analyst is responsible for a defined portfolio of clinical and non-clinical operations and managers. In addition, this position will be accountable for conducting benchmarking analysis to assess organization’s performance against peers and identify operating efficiencies. In this role you will : Provide financial leadership and strategic advice to senior management. Partner with the business in the development of budgets, variance analysis, forecasts and reporting. Support the multi-year financial target setting process. Prepare and evaluate key business and financial performance indicators (internal and external). Assess market data and identify opportunities, trends and draw conclusions. Harmonize large data across different sources to create a single source of truth and routinely maintain the flow of data from our various platforms. Prepare business cases for funding proposals, resources and investment decisions with scenario analysis, advising business partners of the implications behind financial projections. Create and analyze management reports including key financial and operating metrics with variance explanations for the senior management teams. Prepare and participate at internal committee meetings to review monthly business and financial performance reports, developing mitigation strategies to achieve annual targets. Develop visually effective presentations to Senior management and Board committees. Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned. Job Requirements : Mandatory : Successful completion of a University degree, ideally in business, accounting or finance. A minimum of 3 years of relevant financial planning and accounting operational finance and business partnering experience. Exposure to data sciences, including data analytics, data flows and data modelling. Preferred : MBA and / or CPA designation. Previous experience in a multi-site with complex lines of business is beneficial. Previous experience using Workday (Adaptive Insight) or similar Planning, Forecasting and Reporting Tool. Skills and Knowledge : Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks and provide credible analysis and business recommendations. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, proposal and business case development and presentation skills. Capacity to build partnerships, work collaboratively and effectively communicate to diverse groups. Ability to lead change in processes through presentation of evidence-based information. Self-directed with a high level of accountability and the ability to collaborate to deliver complete and complex business plans with in-depth analytics. Demonstrated logic and creative approach to problem solving, moving from information to insights to implications to action items. Exceptional interpersonal, consultative, and relationship-building skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders and problem-solve issues. Superior verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management. Must be able to rapidly adapt to change. Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a major ERP system (Mount Sinai runs SAP).
