Position Summary The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties to enable the Pharmacist to focus on patient care. The Assistant participates in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations, providing key support in customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Receive prescriptions and verify completeness, including name, address, DOB, allergies, 3rd‑party details and prescriber information.
• Perform computer tasks directed by the Pharmacist, such as data entry, price checks, patient information updates, dosage calculations, refills and report generation.
• Fill prescriptions under direct supervision, selecting appropriate products, performing checks (7‑point, visual, DIN), labeling and organizing for pharmacist review, while following ‘STOP’ forms and cognitive service protocols.
• Assist with inventory control, managing stock levels, pulling expired medication, processing returns, ordering supplies from preferred wholesalers, and operating pharmacy equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized dispensing area and handle general housekeeping duties.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, invoicing, and supporting administrative functions.
• Assist with OTC operations, stocking, and cashier duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $20.15 – $26.42 per hour, based on relevant experience.
