Materials Handling Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a Materials Handling Engineer for our client who specializes in providing infrastructure solutions to the global resources industry. They are known for their commitment to quality and long-standing relationships with their clients.

As a Materials Handling Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and ensuring that the equipment and processes work as an efficient, unified system, and that client time, budget, and quality requirements are met. Responsibilities:

• Design and produce layouts and detailed drawings as required
• Review on-site installations and designs to ensure feasibility and compliance with client requirements and industry standards/regulations
• Assist with the preparation of specifications for the procurement of necessary materials
• Develop project cost summary and review vendor invoices
• Assist in the development of project execution schedules
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• E.I.T currently tracking towards P. Eng (possession of P. Eng is an asset)
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience preparing equipment arrangement drawings using AutoCAD
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply design criteria, industry standards and client requirements
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work efficiently within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
