Job description

The CAD Technician will work with a team of designers, engineers and project managers utilizing AutoCAD and related products to produce complete drawing deliverables.

Essential Functions :

Develop reinforced concrete drawings based on design provided by engineers.
Develop mechanical drawings based on contractual requirement.
Develop annotative details and sections.
Develop shop drawings (steel plate and piping).
Coordinate with engineers, shop and construction operations to meet fabrication and constructability requirements.

Required Qualifications :

Minimum of 6 months of drafting experience

Disciplined in Architectural / Civil / Mechanical Technology or Technician

Proficient use of Autodesk AutoCAD

Experienced with structural steel, reinforced concrete, steel plate and mechanical design

Understanding of engineering principles, assembly, fabrication, and construction

Knowledge of engineering workflow process and industry standards

Ability to work in teams on completion of deliverables with challenging schedules

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
