Overview
Position type : Regular. By joining our Structural Engineering team, you’ll work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, drafters and other collaborators and will perform design or detailed engineering studies and mandates for various projects.

Responsibilities
- Help prepare engineering documents to design structures for projects in the heavy industry, mining and metals, energy, petrochemicals, environmental, sustainable development, etc. sectors
- Design concrete and steel foundations and structures
- Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Prepare estimates, technical specifications and reports
- Help plan, organize and assess work
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with colleagues, clients and their representatives
- Help prepare estimates, schedules and budgets, where necessary
- Help monitor site work
- Perform other technical functions to support project delivery

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or any relevant equivalent training and experienceMember of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec0 to 4 years of experience in steel or concrete design of structuresAdvanced knowledge of structural analysis softwareKnowledge of how to read drawingsKnowledge of site supervisionModerate knowledge of the MS Office suiteAvailable to travel occasionally to client sites and officesAdvanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and / or clients located in English-speaking Canadian provinces and abroad; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projectsAdvanced French skills to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and / or clients in QuébecAsset : experience with dynamic structural analysisAsset : experience in finite element calculationsAsset : health and safety card issued by ASP ConstructionTotal rewards overview
