We are currently seeking to hire detail-oriented HVAC Field Technicians for construction installation, maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Consistent regular work week provided, weekends on call not required. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, adaptability and the ability to work on your own and in a team are critical. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of new installations of HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
- Assisting with customers' queries
Desired Skills & Experience
Valid driver’s licenseBeing in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades a mustWAH, H&S Awareness, Scissor Lift, G1, 313A, ODP training certificates preferred5+ year experience as a commercial HVAC Service technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field – on both the heating and cooling sideExperience with refrigeration piping / construction as well as service (maintenance & break-fix troubleshooting) preferredUnderstanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, boiler systemsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsProficient in reading schematics and work plansAbility to work in confined spaces – certification in confined space preferredExcellent time management – as with autonomy comes greater responsibilityMust have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients with the ability to translate technical terms to common language for the end-user
