- Cluster Applications Branch (CAB) provides leadership in the planning development delivery and support of application solutions through services such as consulting and collaboration with clients and their business planning. The branch provides expertise to ensure the IT solutions align with program goals and commitments. CAB provides these services for the Ministry of Finance and some areas of Treasury Board Secretariat.
- Within CAB the Imaging Processes & Analytics unit has several mandates including delivering a high-volume complex integrated payment processing document imaging and data capture IT service; delivering products solutions and services in the development maintenance and support of a portfolio of applications and related systems which provide business intelligence and data analytics; providing strategic direction in the development of new analytic services and program maturity.
- The core mandate of this unit is to support imageON application and its operations as well as its infrastructure support for processing Ontario Government revenues. ImageOn processes $120B revenue annually - through incoming payments and documents for 126 programs across 17 ministries.
Responsibilities :
Provide technical advice to clients and leverage OPS I&IT solutions and applications to meet program / service goals and objectives ensuring efficiency.Verify System monitoring and operability system health fax server availability inbound / outbound file transfer FileNet communication.Collaborate with vendors clients and partners.Write scriptsCreate manage follow up on support tickets.Investigate production issues escalate to proper parties when necessaryVerify systems and applications are running as expectedConfirm file transfer scripts are enabled / disabled when requiredConfirm inbound files are loaded successfully into the applicationVerify production and test backup jobs are completed successfullyVerify mainframe files are transferredVerify FileNet image transferVerify ImageON File extracts and transmissions are completedVerify MFT transfer service is completedVerify MoveIT transfer service is completedVerify Connect Direct (NFS) transfer service is completedConfirm imageON EOD processes are completed successfullyManage building accessManage application / system user accessVerify hardware lighting HVAC are in good working conditionCoordinate / validate monthly generator testing and impact to ImageONMonitor ImageON server / workstation / tape / SAN / printer infrastructureCoordinate / verify vendor support or release implementationProvide validation and Tier 2 support on monthly patching activitiesProvide Tier 2 support for anti-virus updatesPerform server start-up / shutdownProvide analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and identify clients business needs and technical needs propose alternatives / solutions.Desirable Skills :
