Join the Dead by Daylight team as a Senior Technical Audio Designer!As a Senior Technical Audio Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping technical tools and new features for sound for Dead by Daylight. You will uniquely blend artistic sensibility and a deep understanding of audio engineering principles and game development pipelines. You’ll build a strong connection between the game engine and audio and contribute to designing new features. You will be primarily focused on supporting audio designers with process and tool improvements while also being involved with content creation. In this role you will :

  • Collaborate with Sound Designers and Audio Programmers to implement and optimize sound assets within Wwise and Unreal;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues, ensuring high audio fidelity and performance;
  • Design, implement and maintain complex audio systems;
  • Communicate effectively, justifying creative decisions and addressing challenges;
  • Work closely with feature teams to define technical requirements and constraints for audio implementation;
  • Document and communicate best practices and technical guidelines for sound;
  • Test and validate audio in the game;
  • Provide technical support to the team by assisting them with technical challenges.

What we're looking for :

  • Experience with the entire production cycle for multiple video games, from preproduction to live operations;
  • Strong experience with Unreal 5 and Wwise;
  • Experience shaping technical tools and new features;
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure while meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Nice to have

  • Excellent knowledge of techniques related to sound (recording, mixing, integration, postproduction, foley, SFX, music);
  • Fluency in French will be a bonus;
  • Experience working with Wwise spacial.
