ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Responsible for control and operation of one or more types of milling equipment.
• Operates milling equipment (Milling Machine or Cold Planer) to properly mill asphalt / concrete to desired specifications based on usage
• Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of milling machine that mills asphalt and concrete on roadways and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
• May perform other related duties, such as preventive maintenance on all milling machinery.
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns.
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Additional Requirements :

Experience working with construction crews with measurable production goals.

Flexible availability to include overtime, possible weekends and nights.

Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.

Milling equipment operation and related asphalt & road construction experience
