What You’ll Be Doing
The Regulatory Reporting & Analytics team is part of the Trading Floor Risk Management group in charge of providing oversight on the Trading activity. More specifically, the RR&A provides reports to the group, portfolio attribution, a quantitative framework to analyze risk and capital, as well as providing support for the oversight function.
As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will focus on supporting the market risk oversight function. You will also assist the team in meeting our internal and external regulatory reporting requirements, and build a robust and consistent data visualization framework. You will review existing processes and find opportunities for improvement and better efficiencies, including assisting with report automation.
How You’ll Succeed
- Risk analytics : build a solid quantitative framework in the metrics we are monitoring and reporting, notably in the domains of risk explain, portfolio risk attribution and market risk capital optimization.
- Business and risk knowledge : assist the Trading floor Risk Manager oversight function in their responsibilities, including providing analytics and reports to them. Previous knowledge of financial derivatives & securities across FX, equity, and fixed income markets is a plus.
- Data driven : give meaning to large sets of data and aggregate information from multiple sources to summarize it into a meaningful ensemble.
- Being curious : dig into the risk calculations to truly understand them, and question if metrics don’t align to expectations; then action any corrective measures required.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience coding, using Python, VBA and SQL to extract and transform data for the purpose of producing reports for internal and external use. It is an asset if you have experience with visualization tools like Power BI. You are a critical thinker, and able to problem solve both collectively and independently with the intention of enhancing our risk reporting and processes.You give meaning to data.
