Position : RPN

Hours : Week 1 : Monday to Friday; 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm / Week 2 : Thursday to Friday; 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm

Type : Part-Time; Fixed-Term contract until March 17, 2025

Location : Kitchener Clinic

The primary focus of the Registered Practical Nurse would be to complete nursing duties as assigned by management. You will be responsible to work in conjunction with the Clinic Supervisor.

Primary duties and responsibilities :

  • Conduct COVID Testing - Rapid Antigen and Nasopharyngeal PCR testing.
  • Conduct Health Surveys and assist the Nurse Practitioner with MTO medicals.
  • Provide nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
  • Be committed to professional practice and personal development
  • Work relatively independently, but will also work collaboratively with the client company
  • Manage and remain calm within an unpredictable fast (or slow) paced environment as required
  • Assist with the development and implementation of baseline or periodic health surveillance program
  • Document and report compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Code and / or OSHA
  • Collaborate with other health and safety professionals to establish and promote injury prevention, wellness programs and initiatives
  • Customer service and relations as appropriate
  • What you need to be successful in the role :

  • Must be licensed and a member in good standing with the CNO
  • Must have knowledge of the college’s standards of practice, Primary Health Care, and Advanced Knowledge in assessment, diagnosis and health care management
  • Must have CPR and AED
  • Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to work effectively across multiple functional areas and various professional disciplines
  • Have superior interpersonal, communication and public relations skills
  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
