Lab Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Lab Automation Engineer in Toronto, ON (On-site)
Responsibilities:

• Independently design, implement, and validate high-throughput screening assays for formulation and assay development.
  
• Expertise with Hamilton liquid handling systems and SoftMax Pro plate readers for smooth integration in laboratory workflows.
  
• Create quality assurance protocols for assay validation.
  

Qualification:

• Master of Science or Applied Science degree with a specialization in robotics, mechanical engineering, or high-throughput assay development.
  
• A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience with Hamilton systems, VENUS software and Assay development.
  
• Proficiency in automating intricate liquid handling workflows along with other platforms like SoftMax Pro and electronic laboratory notebooks.
  
• Skilled in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript to develop automated scripts and minimize manual processes.
  
• Experience with data pipelines, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and system integration to improve automation and optimize workflow efficiency.
  

Note:

• The expected annual compensation for this position is CAD $90,000, subject to relevant experience.
