An International Airline company is seeking a Passenger Service Supervisor / Assistant Manager to work out of their YVR Airport location.

- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience including Passenger Service, traffic, baggage, and / or cargo operations experience is required
- Bilingual skills, especially in Japanese is a big plus
- MUST be flexible to work any shift
8 hours per day, 5 days per week (including Weekends and Holidays) between : Monday – Sunday : 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM
Salary Range :Supervisor-level : $59.8K – 74.8K CAD / year (DOE)
Assistant Manager-level : $69K – 86.2K CAD / year (DOE)Requirements of the YVR Airport Passenger Service Supervisor / Assistant Manager :
Must have 5+ years of related Customer Service experience including Passenger service, traffic, baggage, and / or cargo operations experienceBachelor’s degree is requiredAirline experience or Travel industry experience preferred but not requiredBilingual skill is strongly preferred, Japanese / English bilingual is a big plusMust be flexible to work any shift schedules including weekends and holidaysExcellent Customer Service skills as well as interpersonal skillsProficient in MS OfficeDetail-oriented, organized, and problem-solverResponsibilities of the YVR Airport Passenger Service Supervisor / Assistant Manager :
Supervise / oversee all aspects of the operation at the airportSupervise operational needs and monitoring that all staff are properly following company procedures as directed by managersPerform any other supervisory functions as directed by ManagersAssist Managers in ground operationsResponsible to oversee and monitor all aspects of the flight turnaroundReview contracted expenses for accuracy and submitting for payment within specified deadlinesEnsure that Staff is updated of all changes in proceduresCoordinate with Tokyo headquarters for resolutions of recurring service problems or irregularitiesUse independent discretion to make decisions based on the Company’s needsPerform any other functions necessary to ensure smooth, timely and safe operationsParticipate in performance review and contribute to the personnel decision-making process (i.e. hiring, performance evaluations, salary, promotions, termination, etc.)Administer staffing for the department through scheduling, deployment and general management of StaffCoordinate local operations with all appropriate agencies and organizations as neededOversee all cargo and mail handlingCheck invoices from contractor companiesEnsure all security and safety measures are being followed by staffPerform any passenger service functions as directed by Senior ManagersMaintain close working relationships with all contractorsCommunicate any issues or problems to necessary parties on a timely basis and troubleshooting as necessaryPrepare management reportsRepresent the Company as necessaryContribute to the personnel decision-making process (i.e. hiring, performance evaluations, salary, promotions, termination, etc.)Train Staff as necessaryEmployment Type : Direct Hire
