Duties
Do you like a challenge when you come to work? If so, the position of a Benefits Analyst could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You will receive a high volume of incoming calls from our clients and stakeholders in a fast paced call centre environment.
Due to the high volume of requests you will learn how to prioritize. You will be responding to inquiries over the phone and processing fax requests.
This could be an opportunity for you to develop new skills and further develop skills you already have; such skills include attention to detail, improved computer skills, communication skills, conflict management, workload management and prioritization.
Work environment
Non-Insured Health Benefits is a unit of Indigenous Services Canada which is the Federal department responsible for helping First Nations and Inuit people of Canada to maintain and improve their health, while respecting individual choices and circumstances.
Intent of the process
A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment, various tenures (acting, assignment / secondment, deployment, term and / or indeterminate), and in various locations within Indigenous Services Canada, Saskatchewan Region.
Depending on the needs of the organization, a random selection may be used at any time during the inventory process to establish which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.
Re-evaluation period : If you submitted an application and / or underwent assessment and were found not qualified, you may resubmit an application to be considered after a 6 month waiting period, from the time when the last application or assessment was completed.
A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 7 days before the end of your active period.
If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer considered for this inventory.

Education :
Successful completion of Secondary School or employer-approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma;
or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience).
Experience :
Experience handling client inquiries
Experience researching information and resolving problems with a client service focus
Experience in using one or more of the following : word processing software, spreadsheet applications, on line data retrieval applications
