Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Coating Inspector to oversee and inspect painting and coating activities on marine structures. This opportunity may be offered in a permanent position or long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise painting/coating teams to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Ensure ITPs are completed and approved before work begins.
• Monitor work progress and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Verify paint products prior to application.
• Oversee coating application processes (brush, roller, spray).
• Conduct required inspections: WFT, DFT, adhesion, contamination, surface profile, weather conditions, holiday test.
• Prepare inspection reports per client requirements.
• Ensure all personnel hold appropriate qualifications.
• Foster a positive work environment and proactive safety culture.
• Identify and report non-conformities.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance.
• Participate in incident investigations and safety/quality inspections.
• Manage coating documentation and records.

Required Qualifications

• AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE CIP Level III) is an asset.
• Confined space training and ASP Construction card required.
• Marine coatings experience strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of industry standards and procedures.
• Fluent in French and English (mandatory).
