Position Title : Housekeeping Team Member

Location : Prince George Family Y

Terms : Permanent, Part-time

Start Date : October 15 or later

Hours : 6-20 hours per week.

Shifts : 6 : 00pm to 12 : 00am

Salary : $17.68 per hour

Reports to : Maintenance Manager

Nature and Scope :

The Prince George Family Y is a multi-services facility, offering Fitness Services, Health Management Programs, Group Fitness classes, and Child and Youth Programs. We believe in putting people first, with 5-Star YMCA Services, and creating environments that are caring, welcoming and fun. The amazing housekeeping team works together to ensure a clean, sanitized and safe facility for all members.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Support the Housekeeping Team
  • Performing general housekeeping duties; cleaning rooms, floors, glass, fixtures, servicing and stocking; paper, soap and sanitizer dispensers
  • Cleaning fitness equipment.
  • Helping, supporting the housekeeping team in seasonal and occasional major cleaning projects.
  • Working professionally, independently, consciously and safely.

Qualifications / Experience :

  • Three satisfactory professional references.
  • Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector search.
  • Physical ability to work evenings and do the duties required.
  • A combination of experience and training related to building maintenance and cleaning or experience working in a recreation or health services related facility or similar venue will be considered an asset.
