Job Summary :
Baycrest Hospital Pharmacy Services support all inpatient units and programs. Some of the major functions of the department include : purchasing and inventory management of medications, management of the unit dose drug distribution system, centralized intravenous admixture program, and an integrated computerized information system (Meditech), clinical activities such as medication reconciliation and a strong affiliation with the universities and colleges for the provision of onsite practical training. Pharmacists are active team members focused on the optimization of medication management, who participate in team rounds and quarterly medication reviews.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Ensures appropriate and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications to designated Hospital programs
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications include but are not limited to :
Experience with Meditech preferred
