What is the opportunity?

RBC Insurance Technology Operations Team provides services to a diverse set of insurance applications using various technologies on the mainframe and distributed Windows and Unix platforms. You will drive the development and enhancement of the existing components within this diverse portfolio in support of business growth and technology excellence.

The team leverages multiple solutions delivering support services to projects and production including managing and maintaining environments within RBC Insurance including Life and Health, creditor and travel businesses.

What will you do?

Prepare deployment packages for multiple environments.

Develop, review and promote JCL components across multiple environments.

Develop utilities in support of the department core functions (Java, .NET, C# and SQL)

Develop and maintain deployment scripts (j-script, JavaScript, VBScript, .bat, com, .Net)

Automate operational procedures and support the creation of automated Electronic Forms and Documents.

Conduct source code management.

Monitor QA / PROD environments for errors.

Provide support services to Infrastructure and development teams.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have :

Hands on experience in developing, testing and troubleshooting JCL.

3+ years' experience with Unix / Win scripting languages including AIX, j-script, JavaScript, VBScript, .bat, com, .Net.

Strong working knowledge of Mainframe environment and z / OS.

Experience with GitHub & Helios Source Code management systems

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial and technical data and transform issues into working solutions.

Nice to Have :

Financial industry experience.

SQL and relational databases.

Java Programing, API and Micro Service Development.

DevOps pipelines (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins), continuous integration / delivery.

Automated testing Agile framework / Kanban
