Assistant Project Manager (Development Engineering)

Are you a Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist with a thorough knowledge and understanding of standards, regulations, and by-laws required for engineering approvals on development projects?
Our client, a leading land development consultancy firm in Vaughan, is seeking a Project Manager to join their engineering development team working with multiple municipalities in the GTA.
Responsibilities :
- Review and approval of all aspects of municipal infrastructure engineering design, including stormwater management facilities related to development projects.
- Facilitate the approvals of development engineering review activities in accordance with clients and provincial guidelines.
- Prepare Conditions of Approval related to municipal servicing for new development.
- Coordinate the clearance of Conditions of Approval for servicing and registration of development lands.
- Assist in developing and implementing various development programs.
- Develop a multi-year capital budget incorporating infrastructure extension projects to meet development industry clients and city needs.
Qualifications :
- Demonstrated knowledge of Development Engineering practices and theories.
- 2 years of related experience in land use planning, development control, grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
- Thorough understanding of statutes, regulations, and by-laws affecting the department / section.
- Working knowledge of the Planning Act and Section 221 of the Municipal Act.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and duties for supervisors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer software applications such as Word, Access, and Excel.
- Valid Class 'G' Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
