As a member of this team, you will be responsible for :
- Assisting with Canadian indirect tax compliance and reporting
- Overseeing timely remittance of tax payments (income tax and indirect tax)
- Working with Finance teams to provide indirect tax assistance on ongoing operating initiatives and respond to other indirect tax queries
- Providing ongoing support to the Investment Tax team on any indirect tax issues or risks arising on transactions
- As time permits, assisting with Enterprise-wide non-transaction tax projects or income tax compliance (as directed by senior team members)
To succeed in this role, you have :
- Enrolled in a college or university program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or related field
- Some knowledge of Finance and / or Tax principles preferred
- Ability to deliver sound results, while handling multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down big projects into achievable components
- Ability to build relationships and work constructively with internal colleagues and stakeholders
- Demonstrates an ownership mindset and takes accountability for his / her responsibilities
- Demonstrates sound judgment
