About the Role
Reporting to the Information Technology Director, the Information Systems Manager assesses current IT systems and processes to support strategic initiatives, including AI adoption, cross-functional collaboration, and organization-wide system reviews. This role works closely with business stakeholders to translate organizational needs into structured requirements, support strategic initiatives, and drive adoption through clear communication and effective change management. This one-year contract role supports the organization’s ongoing technology improvement efforts, with the potential to transition into a full-time position upon completion of a full job evaluation. Responsibilities may include :
Follow established practices and provide support in line with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan of Kerry’s Place
Review and adhere to all Policies and Procedures, including Finance & Administration, Services & Supports, Human Resources, Health & Safety, and others
Adhere to employee responsibilities for Health & Safety as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations
Support evaluations of new systems (e.g., CRM, EMR, HRIS) and assist in implementation of new solutions
Drive initiatives like AI automation, PowerApps development, MS365, and evaluation of system integration projects
Address gaps between user needs and system implementations
Ensure IT investments support long-term growth, innovation, and improved outcomes for families and supported individuals
Provide expertise in business process documentation, enterprise software systems, and system implementation
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Evaluate and recommend AI tools to automate routine tasks, personalize support plans, and enhance decision-making
Provide proactive and responsive technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to information systems
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff to understand system requirements
Serve as a strategic liaison across departments, ensuring unified technology decisions
Train users on system operation and functionalities
Stay current on technology trends and security risks
Ensure systems meet security, regulatory, and compliance standards
Stay abreast of security trends and risk exposure to IT systems
Other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
5–10 years’ experience working in an information systems environment
Proven experience as a Senior Information Systems Specialist, Senior Business Analyst, Manager, or similar role
Strong knowledge of information systems management, technologies, and business practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
The following skills would be an asset : Enterprise software systems (CRM, EMR, HRIS), Microsoft 365 ecosystem (including PowerApps), AI tools evaluation and adoption
Ability to provide user training and support
Analytical & problem-solving skills along with strategic & leadership skills
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
A valid driver’s license, with a minimum G2 and access to a reliable vehicle, is required
Hybrid work model requires employees to be on-site at least three days per week
