We are currently hiring an Associate Manager, Insurance Products to support the development and maintenance of insurance product solutions aimed at contributing to the growth and performance of BCAA’s insurance product portfolio. You will assist in the creation, ongoing redesign, and improvement of product features and processes to efficiently address customer needs and support BCAA’s overall purpose, mission, and beliefs. You will collaborate closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders to assist in achieving these objectives.

As an Associate Manager, Insurance Products you will work at our Head Office on a hybrid schedule.

During a typical day, you will :

  • Assist in managing elements of the product development lifecycle for a subset of BCAA’s insurance products, including providing support in conceptualization, business case development, prioritization, design, deployment, review, monitoring, and ongoing iteration.
  • Support the oversight of product features, pricing, costs, competitive positioning, quality standards, customer satisfaction, and the overall customer experience.
  • Maintain product manuals and sales collateral, which includes incorporating updates related to product changes and in response to feedback.
  • Develop agent facing communications related to product changes.
  • Ensure all customer facing material reflect the product accurately, including reviews and approval of marketing content.
  • Provide assistance and input to the managers and peers responsible for other insurance products within the portfolio.
  • Assist in monitoring product and performance metrics, including sales, premiums, revenue, and identification of friction points.
  • Track industry trends, competitive actions, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
  • Implement solutions to gather ongoing customer feedback, monitor consumer behavior trends, and stay updated on technology developments.
  • Assist in managing weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance metric reviews and revenue forecasting exercises.
  • Turn market intelligence, customer research and sales reviews into insights and potential recommendations.
  • Collaborate with relevant functional areas to develop solutions that align with BCAA’s customer experience principles, ensuring insurance products are easy to understand, own, and claim against.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, support and coordination in the delivery of core product training programs and reference resources for the Customer Experience and Claims areas.
  • Contribute to promoting product knowledge, sales, profitability, and compliance across the sales network through interaction, collaboration, training, audits, and collection of industry / competitive information.
  • Support the maintenance of ongoing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including underwriting partners.
  • Collaborate closely with adjacent functions to assist in achieving strategic goals and maintain effective product management frameworks and processes.
  • Provide support, as needed, in offering subject matter expertise, direction, and guidance.
  • Offer support and assistance to insurance product team members, taking on delegated responsibilities.
  • Assist in managing discovery, delivery, scheduling, and project management for multiple simultaneous initiatives.
  • Mentoring and coaching to junior colleagues.
  • What You Bring

  • One to three years of relevant experience in product management or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of P&L management, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • The salary range for this position is $63,265.76 to $80,332.08 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
