OM READY Business Analyst – Meditech Expanse (WPL v2.2 preferred)

Mandatory Skills :

  • Recent Design and Build Experience in MEDITECH Expanse (WPL v2.2 preferred) :
  • Extensive experience in designing and building the Order Management (OM) and Patient Care System (PCS) modules in Meditech Expanse.
  • Knowledge of Meditech Expanse WPL (v2.2) is highly preferred.
  • Healthcare IT Systems & Operational Support :
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare IT systems, with a focus on operational support for clinical and business systems.
  • Familiarity with Fraser Health’s organizational practices, build standards, and policies is preferred.
  • Project Management and Coordination :
  • Over 10 years of experience in managing complex IT projects, particularly in healthcare, including business system implementations.
  • Ability to integrate project management activities with the overall project plan, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and domains.
  • Experience in managing large-scale EHR implementations and aligning project resources to evolving requirements.
  • Clinical EHR Design and Optimization :
  • Proven experience in leading clinical design and build activities, specifically for the OM and PCS modules in EHR systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in optimizing clinical workflows and ensuring that design, testing, and implementation processes meet the specific needs of healthcare providers.
  • Testing, Integration & Cutover Planning :
  • Ability to design and execute test cases, support application testing, and conduct integration testing in Meditech Expanse.
  • Strong experience in managing cutover planning to ensure seamless transitions from legacy systems to new implementations.
  • Risk and Issue Management :
  • Expertise in risk management processes, including identifying, assessing, and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to handle project risks and issues, ensuring they are resolved on time and escalated when necessary, following established governance processes.
  • Knowledge Transition & Mentorship :
  • Strong focus on knowledge transfer to internal Fraser Health resources, ensuring sustainability of the project after the consultant’s involvement.
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting internal staff during the project lifecycle, helping to onboard and train new resources.
  • Documentation & Reporting :
  • Expertise in maintaining project artifacts such as project plans, risk logs, deliverables logs, and decision logs.
  • Ability to produce transparent, data-driven project reports, ensuring alignment with the project plan, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Jira for tracking tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication :
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and project sponsors.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage relationships with external vendors, stakeholders, and project sponsors.
  • PMP Certification (Preferred but not mandatory) :
  • PMP certification is an asset and will be beneficial for managing complex projects, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse, Jira, and Healthcare IT Systems :
  • In-depth experience with Meditech Expanse, particularly the OM and PCS modules, and familiarity with Jira for project tracking.
  • Understanding of healthcare IT systems and workflows, particularly within a clinical setting.
