Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Provisioning, the Coordinator, Warranty & Repair will be the point person for managing warranty repairs for our aircraft components. You will ensure we recoup costs from manufacturers for parts and repairs covered under warranty, while maintaining positive relationships with our suppliers. Duties & Responsibilities Create repair orders for defective aircraft parts and components, outlining the specific issue, warranty details, and required repairs Process warranty claims for purchase and repair of aircraft parts and tooling Review warranty agreements and technical documents, including Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, to identity warranty coverage Communicate effectively with vendors, repair facilities, and internal departments to track repair progress, expedite overdue repairs, and reconcile invoicing issues Analyze repair quotes ensuring compliance with warranty terms and identifying any discrepancies Manage the return of unserviceable components for our exchange program. This includes : Issuing return orders for components designated for exchange. Advising the purchasing group of required exchanges needed for stock replenishment based on warranty returns Working with all internal stakeholders to ensure or contractual commitments are met Maintain records and files according to the company’s policy, including vendor audit forms Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy Other duties as assigned Behavioural Competencies Concern for Safety : Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others. Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warranty administration, preferably within the aviation industry. Strong understanding of warranty principles and contractual agreements Previous experience in a technical repair role within aviation required Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with AMOS an asset Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
