About the Opportunity
Westinghouse Electric Canada is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada.
The successful candidate will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions.
As a part of our growing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all the generated documents.
What will you do?
Your day to day :
- Managing the arrival and sending of electronic documents via email or an FTP site.
- Track document dates and maintain an Excel database of those dates.
- Print full size drawings and deliver them to assigned departments.
- Scan full size drawings and save them in a PDF drawing repository.
- Scan and verify the accuracy of large quality documentation packages.
- Sort, organize and forward various supplier electronic documents and send them to QA representatives.
- Support preparation of presentation materials via Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Other administrative-support duties as required.
- The general hours are Monday thru Thursday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 15 pm, Fridays 8 : 00 am to 1 : 00 pm. Very rare but occasional overtime is required.
What will you bring?
Who you are :
- Minimum 1 year experience in an office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Experience and comfort with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Nuance.
Preferred :
- Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma / degree in a relevant field.
- Training related to document control.
- Related experience in a relevant field, including Prime experience or similar software to record documents
- This is a detail-oriented position that will require a solid background in the use of computers, printers, and scanners.
You will be a self-starter working in a professional office environment.
