The Team

The Nanaimo Law Courts team is a dedicated group of 24 professionals providing essential registry and in-court services to support the justice system. As part of an established team youll collaborate with justice partners to ensure accurate case documentation adjudication support and seamless court operations. This team plays a critical role in promoting access to justice through its commitment to efficiency fairness and service excellence. The Role

As a Court Clerk you will play a key role in supporting the justice system by providing court services and administrative support within the Registry. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing court documents recording proceedings and ensuring accurate case file management. This role requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with judges lawyers justice partners and the public. Qualifications :

Education and Experience Requirements

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
• 2 years of experience working in an office environment; OR
• A combination of 2 years of customer service clerical duties office experience and education.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in keyboarding data entry word processing standard computer applications and software programs (e.g. Windows MS Word Excel Outlook).
• Minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM) in keyboarding.
