Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX :

As a Software Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for testing new and modified software and ensuring that it meets our standards at Arc’teryx.

Testing work includes strategy, planning, and the execution of tests, using a variety of techniques that range from manual testing, to load testing, and accessibility testing and test automation.

You will collaborate closely with Software Developers and Business Analysts to help troubleshoot defects, and to communicate information about quality and risk to the project team.

You will also assist with developing and mentoring other QA team members, and will support initiatives within the QA group.

You will be working on a small and collaborative team that works with many departments across Arc’teryx. We value learning and growth and strive to deliver the best solutions to the teams using the Salesforce suite of applications and other domain application technologies.

Your team is responsible for building and maintaining the tools and software applications used by Arc’teryx guest services team.

Our teams are organized into squads that include other Engineers, Administrators, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts and Project Managers.

Squads work closely and collaboratively with many other squads including Infrastructure, Marketing, ERP and Analytics.

If you were in the Salesforce Software Quality Analyst role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing :

  • Leading the design and execution of software application testing, including coordination of manual testing and evolving the automation and scripting processes, foundation and framework.
  • Ensuring the timely and thorough testing of hard to test systems, with a focus on back-end testing, white box testing, and developing tests that can be planned and executed outside of the GUI.
  • Overseeing and ensuring that systems function according to business requirements and user expectations.
  • Developing user documentation for any knowledge share that is relevant to the QA team's testing activities.
  • Supporting the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in developing and maintaining test automation, where appropriate.
  • Validating the data against the business rules, data mapping, and transformation rules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Capturing and reporting on your test results using Arc’teryx standard testing or ticketing tools.
  • Participating in production releases by identifying and executing testing on high-impact areas of the system.

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future :

  • Providing high-level estimates for QA work on larger initiatives.
  • Supporting standardizing and documenting best practices in Arc’teryx QA space.
  • Evolving the automation framework and scripting based on the coverage needs and acceptance criteria of the application in test which would be coordinated with the manual tester to support smoke testing and regression testing.

Are you our next Salesforce Software Quality Analyst?

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent in a related technical field.
  • You have 3+ years’ experience in software QA and excellent application of QA best practices.
  • You have hands-on experience with API and integration testing, and other non-functional types of software testing.
  • You have experience with testing tools such as Testrail and are familiar with test automation, possibly including the TTA or Testim tools (Tricentis).
  • You are proficient in developing and maintaining test plans and test scenarios.
  • You have experience with Windows and web application and services.
  • You have knowledge and experience with Agile project tracking tools and JIRA.
  • You have experience working with development projects in Salesforce Core.
  • You are able to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team of business analysts, project managers and software developers.
  • You are able to prioritize effectively and have excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • You have demonstrated ability consistently meeting strict delivery deadlines.
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • You are driven and passionate about championing quality in all forms.
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
