Our client, a very established and respected organization, is looking to add a District Controller to their team in the Waterloo office! This is an amazing opportunity for hands on individuals who enjoy the business partnering side! This person will oversee financials for the corporate office, and work on special projects and capital planning while reporting into the Director of Strategic Finance. Responsibilities :

Lead the financial accounting and reporting functions for the district

Monitor and prepare program budgets

Participate in internal audits and recommend areas for improvement

Prepare, analyze, and remit financial reports (Budget Service Contract Submission, YTD & In-Year Reports)

Approve accounting inputs and review financial statements for relevance, reliability and clarity.

Other projects as assigned

Requirements :

4+ years experience in a hands on accounting position

Strong communication skills

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
