Maintenance Technician – Night Shift – C License

C$85,000 to $90,000

Pointe-Claire, QC
We are seeking a highly skilled, certified, and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team at our industrial facility in the Pointe-Claire, Montreal, Quebec, Canada area. This crucial role requires a multi-craft professional with a mandatory C License in Electricity to perform complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across various plant systems, ensuring continuous operation during off-peak hours.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Control Systems (C License Focus)

  • Mandatory: Utilize the C License in Electricity to install, maintain, and repair all high-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, control panels, and circuits.

  • PLC/Automation: Diagnose and resolve complex issues within Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and automated control systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).

  • Instrumentation: Calibrate and maintain industrial instrumentation, sensors, transducers, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

  • Code Compliance: Install new electrical equipment and circuits in strict compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and all local standards.

Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems

  • Perform comprehensive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all plant machinery, including heavy-duty presses, pumps, conveyors, furnaces, and material handling equipment.

  • Fluid Power: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components in hydraulic and pneumatic systems (e.g., cylinders, valves, pumps, compressors) to address leaks, pressure issues, and operational failures.

  • Precision Repair: Execute precision tasks such as alignment of motors and pumps, replacement of bearings, seals, and gearboxes.

  • Welding: Apply skills in TIG, arc, and stick welding for fabricating, modifying, and repairing metal structures and equipment components.

Operational & Night Shift Duties

  • Perform proactive inspection rounds on critical equipment during the night shift (10 PM to 6 AM) to identify potential failures before they impact morning production.

  • Emergency Response: Serve as the primary night shift technical resource, responding immediately to all mechanical, electrical, or system breakdowns to minimize downtime.

  • Documentation: Accurately document all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and contribute to the investigation and resolution of recurring equipment issues.

  • Quality & Safety: Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental protocols, strictly adhering to ISO-9001 procedures and facility safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: College diploma (DEC) in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or equivalent technical qualification.

  • License: A Valid C License in Electricity is MANDATORY (non-negotiable).

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-craft industrial maintenance role.

  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and complex electrical/technical drawings and schematics.

Compensation and Work Environment

  • Schedule: Night Shift – Sunday night to Friday morning, 10 PM to 6 AM. (Initial training on day shift required).

  • Environment: Must be comfortable working in a hot and physically demanding production environment and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Language: Good command of French, both spoken and written, is preferred due to the location and operational requirements.

Nous recherchons un(e) Technicien(ne) de Maintenance hautement qualifié(e), certifié(e) et dévoué(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe de nuit dans notre installation industrielle de la région de Pointe-Claire, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Ce rôle crucial exige un(e) professionnel(le) multi-compétent(e) possédant obligatoirement une Licence C en Électricité afin d’effectuer des travaux complexes d’entretien, de dépannage et de réparation sur divers systèmes de l’usine, assurant ainsi la continuité des opérations pendant les heures creuses.

Responsabilités Clés

Systèmes Électriques et de Contrôle (Accent sur la Licence C)

  • Obligatoire : Utiliser la Licence C en Électricité pour installer, entretenir et réparer tous les systèmes de distribution électrique haute et basse tension, les panneaux de contrôle et les circuits.

  • PLC/Automatisation : Diagnostiquer et résoudre des problèmes complexes au sein des Automates Programmables Industriels (API), des interfaces homme-machine (IHM) et des systèmes de contrôle automatisés (ex. : Siemens, Allen-Bradley).

  • Instrumentation : Calibrer et entretenir l’instrumentation industrielle, les capteurs, les transducteurs et les variateurs de fréquence (VFD).

  • Conformité au Code : Installer de nouveaux équipements et circuits électriques en stricte conformité avec le Code canadien de l’électricité (CCE) et toutes les normes locales.

Systèmes Mécaniques et Hydrauliques

  • Effectuer l’entretien préventif, prédictif et correctif complet sur toutes les machines de l’usine, y compris les presses lourdes, les pompes, les convoyeurs, les fours et les équipements de manutention.

  • Énergie Fluidique : Dépanner, réparer et remplacer des composants dans les systèmes hydrauliques et pneumatiques (ex. : vérins, vannes, pompes, compresseurs) pour remédier aux fuites, aux problèmes de pression et aux pannes opérationnelles.

  • Réparation de Précision : Exécuter des tâches de précision telles que l’alignement des moteurs et des pompes, le remplacement des roulements, des joints d’étanchéité et des boîtes de vitesses.

  • Soudage : Appliquer des compétences en soudage TIG, à l’arc et à la baguette pour la fabrication, la modification et la réparation de structures métalliques et de composants d’équipement.

Tâches Opérationnelles et de Quart de Nuit

  • Effectuer des rondes d’inspection proactives sur les équipements critiques pendant le quart de nuit (22 h à 6 h) afin d’identifier les pannes potentielles avant qu’elles n’affectent la production matinale.

  • Intervention d’Urgence : Être la principale ressource technique de nuit, répondant immédiatement à toute panne mécanique, électrique ou de système pour minimiser les temps d’arrêt.

  • Documentation : Documenter avec précision tous les travaux effectués dans le Système de Gestion de la Maintenance Assistée par Ordinateur (GMAO) et contribuer à l’enquête et à la résolution des problèmes d’équipement récurrents.

  • Qualité et Sécurité : Maintenir un engagement fort envers les protocoles de santé, de sécurité et d’environnement, en adhérant strictement aux procédures ISO-9001 et aux directives de sécurité de l’établissement.

Qualifications Requises

  • Formation : Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en Électromécanique, en Mécanique industrielle, ou qualification technique équivalente.

  • Permis : Une Licence C en Électricité valide est OBLIGATOIRE (non-négociable).

  • Expérience : Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience dans un rôle de maintenance industrielle multi-compétent similaire.

  • Littératie Technique : Capacité à lire et à interpréter les dessins et schémas mécaniques, hydrauliques, pneumatiques et électriques/techniques complexes.

Rémunération et Environnement de Travail

  • Horaire : Quart de Nuit – Du dimanche soir au vendredi matin, 22 h à 6 h. (Formation initiale de jour requise).

  • Environnement : Doit être à l’aise de travailler dans un environnement de production chaud et exigeant physiquement et être capable de soulever un minimum de 50 lb (23 kg).

  • Langue : Une bonne maîtrise du français, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, est préférable en raison du lieu et des exigences opérationnelles.
