The Opportunity :
Reporting to the Director of Training & Development, the Training Project Manager will assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees throughout our network.
This position actively searches for, designs, and implements effective methods to educate team members, enhance performance, and drive the business's success.
The Training Project Manager is a passionate innovator facilitating company-wide learning and development strategies. The ideal candidate is a system-savvy team player who is highly organized, detail-oriented and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
This role will require superior inter-departmental teamwork and collaboration. The role is accountable for delivering aspects of both the internal Head Office training and the external store training programs.
Responsibilities :
Represent the Operations and Training teams in procedural development when new initiatives need to be scoped, designed, developed, communicated, launched and monitored.
- Conduct company-wide needs assessments and act as the project lead when new initiatives need to be taught and communicated to M&M Food Market retail stores.
- Lead the process of developing training aids and communication to support activities such as new procedures, incentives, and changes in any operational execution process or system.
Work with SMEs to ensure business needs are effectively communicated and trained throughout the business.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge, research emerging technologies, trends, and innovation in learning, and aid in building plans to disseminate across the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and adjust when necessary.
- Develop and enhance REAL Academy training platform content and tools to support team development and business needs.
- Develop and lead live training and enhanced learning events for team members.
- Liaise with other functional areas to ensure training support for all and hold other leaders accountable for the effectiveness of our programs.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and updating our training materials at all levels to ensure the desired brand standards are being communicated and executed throughout the chain.
Education :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Requirements :
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience with demonstrated ability to apply adult learning and training practices in needs assessments, instructional design, delivery, and evaluative methods
- Working knowledge of the retail food industry, both Franchise and Corporate models
- Excellent knowledge of leadership and organization development and leveraging leading edge practices
- Experience in sourcing, utilizing, and implementing technology to support people programs and initiatives
- An excellent communicator with demonstrated skills in development, employee engagement, group facilitation, and presentations
- Excellent and demonstrated Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment building training and development programs and strategy
- Highly adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
- A strong ability to work independently and manage time and priorities successfully. Must successfully complete all M&M training, including the Advanced Food Safety Certification
