Purchasing Coordinator
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for executing and managing purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, supplies, and services. This role oversees purchase order processing, vendor management, supplier onboarding, and purchasing data within the ERP system. The coordinator supports supplier relationships, expedites orders, coordinates vendor‑managed inventory programs, ensures on‑time delivery of supply and maintains accurate purchasing records and metrics.
As a Purchasing Coordinator You Will
- Process and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Set‑up and maintain purchasing related master data within the ERP system
- Manage expedites requests with suppliers
- Manage past‑due purchase order follow‑up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of supply
- Manage weekly open order reports with key suppliers
- Maintain purchase order due dates in JDE
- Vendor‑managed inventory program coordination and relationship management
- Source indirect materials including shop and maintenance supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), hardware, packaging, etc.
- Source services related to maintenance, repair, and other manufacturing related services
- Administrate the supplier onboarding process
- Maintain and report on key purchasing metrics
- Maintain the Purchasing team paper and electronic filing systems
- Act as backup to the Supply Chain Coordinator
- Other administrative duties as assigned

Typical pay is $45,000 – $58,000 annually. Pay is based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications. This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
