These infrastructure networks include hundreds of thousands of miles of pavements, thousands of bridges, and millions of wastewater, stormwater, and freshwater distribution pipe assets.
Job Expectations
- All Projects have a plan, schedule, and resources allocated for at least 6 months in advance; ensure a 12 month rolling backlog maintained for business reporting, planning and to support BD
- Accountability to Deighton Executive for overall project delivery, including issue escalation and accurate monthly reporting
- All projects utilize standard process, have client sign off per phase and are closed-down to process
- Ensure Professional Services handles all client projects / issues in a customer focused way ensuring maximum client satisfaction, backed by project satisfaction reviews
- Implementation Support tickets are maintained to targets, process and SLAs, with the team supporting in a collaborative and timely way
- Assist with technical responses for tenders / RFPs / ad-hoc proposals, working closely with BD and Engineering
- Project commercial management is effective with monthly reporting, billing dates and other milestones adhered to for all projects
- Professional Services acts as one global team, fully utilizing all staff to target utilization and ensuring recruitment, succession and retention plans are in place for all regions
- Lead the review, development and roll-out of required departmental SOPs; work across the business to maintain and develop Deighton's Standard Implementation Processes and other innovations to improve delivery and your area of work
- Ensure the compliance of your team to corporate standards including performance management and timesheets
Required
10 years experience in a consulting business setting, engineering consulting, software implementation or other related sectorCritical thinking and analytical skills - actively problem-solving situations and determining immediate and long-term resolutionsCommercial management - theability to portfolio manage delivery of multi-million dollar global consulting revenues to target, theexperience of managing a similar portfolio to DAL's (USD 6m)Project management - theability to review and analyze project management and delivery, identifying issues and working collaboratively with managers and teams to implement lessons learnedBusiness process management - an understanding of standardized approaches when they are best used and how to manage and maintain them over timeLeadership - proven track record of growing and developing successful teams to deliver business targets, delight customers, and positively engage staff. Demonstrable experience of managing large teams (20+ FTEs, preferably across multiple regions / locations)Exemplary communication skills - an exceptional communicator, written, andverbal, in presentations and documentation. A clear understanding of how to use different communication approaches with different audiencesMinimum 5 years in a director-level roleAbility and willingness to conduct international travel in support of the role, both to visit clients and to engage with the global DAL teamDesirable
