Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the seasonal position of Regional Coordinator – HRM Beaches.

The Regional Beach Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for beach operations, ensuring safe, high-quality aquatic experiences for their assigned region. This role supervises beach staff, manages instructional programs, and promotes water safety awareness. The Regional Beach Coordinator leads staff training, enforces safety standards, and ensures operational excellence through effective planning, communication, and program evaluation. Acting as a key liaison between staff, patrons, and partner agencies (i.e., Lifesaving Society, Emergency Health Services, various Municipal Business Units), they uphold Halifax Aquatics’ commitment to safety, professionalism, and community engagement.

WORK STATUS : June 1, 2026 – September 4, 2026. Up to 40 hours per week
HOURS OF WORK : Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
SALARY : Non-union; $21.75 (Standard wage, Lifesaving Instructor) (plus 4% vacation pay)
$27.75 (National Lifeguard Instructing, Examining) (plus 4% vacation pay)
