Here is what a typical day looks like
- You will be assigned new claims and work through your pending claims, where you will liaise between customers, insurance companies, outside vendors, and other adjusters
- Most of your day will be spent on the phone, guiding and advising clients through the claims process, obtaining relevant statements/reports, and following up when needed
- You will use your insurance knowledge to validate coverage based on the policy terms, review estimates, and negotiate fair cash settlements as required
- Pay invoices for outside vendors such as appraising companies and towing companies
- Maintain accurate reports and complete files electronically and in paper copies
The value you bring
- General Insurance Level 2 License required, or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- 3 years’ experience in the General Insurance Industry, ICBC experience an asset
- Your superior organizational skills help you stay on track with multiple competing priorities, ensuring invoices are paid promptly, documents are filed correctly, the customer receives timely updates, all whilst maintaining accuracy
- You can break down complicated policy wordings and industry jargon into simple terms to explain to customers. You have the reassuring presence to calm someone down while still getting your message across
- Knowledge of MS products including Word, Excel, Outlook

- Hours: 37.5 hours/week: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Location: Remote role. Will be working out of Pacific Time Zone
- Salary range: $51,000 - $76,000
