Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a Recycling Sorter for a temporary to permanent role in Kemptown, NS. With a competitive hourly rate of $19, this role involves sorting recyclables, ensuring material cleanliness, and maintaining workstations in a fast-paced environment.

Pay rate : $20 / hour.
Location : Kemptown, NS
Shifts : Monday-Saturday 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm or 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm
Job type : Temporary to permanent | Part-time 30-40 hours per week

Responsibilities :

Remove recyclables (average of 0-5 lbs., occasionally up to 25 lbs.) from a moving conveyor belt and place them in appropriate receptacles.

Level material on the conveyor belt to ensure product visibility.

Avoid contamination of materials, removing garbage and non-recyclable items as needed.

Count and maintain records for deposit containers and hazardous waste materials at designated stations.

Tie off and drop totes of recyclable products to designated areas when required.

Clean workstations during conveyor line shutdowns or slowdowns, as well as before breaks.

Keep walkways clear of safety hazards.

Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Must have reliable transportation

1-2 years in production line roles.

Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to handle light to medium loads up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods and manage varied load weights.
