Job Title : Handyman

Job Summary : We are looking for a versatile and resourceful Handyman to join our team at Excellent Services Corporation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in general interior and exterior repairs and maintenance, capable of making cost-effective decisions on sourcing products, and proficient in a variety of tasks ranging from minor fixes to larger projects.

Pay Rate : $20 - $22 per hour Scheduled Hours : 8 AM - 5 PM, with occasional weekends Travel Requirements : Yes, travel to various commercial buildings within Windsor

Key Responsibilities :

Perform general maintenance and repairs for residential and commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

Install, repair, and maintain fixtures, appliances, and systems, such as lighting, heating, and cooling.

Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.

Assemble furniture and equipment as required.

Repair drywall, including patching holes and repainting.

Install and repair flooring, including tile, laminate, and hardwood.

Handle landscaping and outdoor maintenance tasks, such as fence repairs and deck installation.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with appliances, systems, and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local safety codes and regulations.

Communicate effectively with clients to assess needs, provide updates on project status, and offer recommendations for improvements.

Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with clients.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Keep work areas clean and organized, following all health and safety guidelines.

Assist with project planning and budgeting when necessary.

Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors as needed on larger projects.

Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.

Minimum of 10 years as a handyman or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of various repair and maintenance techniques.

Basic plumbing and electrical skills are a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
