Hello! We are a warm, down-to-earth family living in the country near Ste. Geneviève, Manitoba, looking for a caring and reliable nanny/mother’s helper to join us long-term. I’m a former teacher currently transitioning into part-time counselling, and we have two young children; an energetic almost 4-year-old boy and a curious 1.5-year-old girl. Our home is bilingual (English and French), and we value a calm, respectful, and connected approach to caregiving. We are hoping to find someone who truly enjoys being with children and is interested in becoming a consistent, trusted presence in their lives over time. As we plan to homeschool, this role is especially meaningful to us as we are looking for someone who wants to grow with our family and be part of the children’s day-to-day lives on a long-term basis. We would love to find someone who feels like a natural fit with our family—someone who is not just looking for a short-term position, but is genuinely interested in building a lasting relationship and becoming an important, steady presence in our home. What the role looks like: * Assisting with childcare alongside me (mother’s helper style) * Occasional independent care/babysitting * Engaging the children in play, outdoor activities, and daily routines * Supporting a calm, low-screen, hands-on environment * Helping with light housekeeping and daily household tasks (tidying, dishes, simple meal prep, etc.), especially as part of the flow of the day with the children Our ideal candidate: * Enjoys being active and spending time outdoors in all seasons * Is patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys young children * Is comfortable in a more natural, low-structure, child-led environment * Is looking for a long-term role and excited about becoming a consistent, meaningful presence in a homeschooling family * Is comfortable contributing to the home with light housekeeping tasks * Has reliable transportation (we are located in the country) * Comfort with a bilingual (English/French) home is appreciated, but French is not required Details: * Part-time hours- approx. 5-15 per week (exact schedule to be discussed) * Starting at $20/hour (depending on experience) We’re really hoping to find someone who feels like a natural fit with our family and values.
