Job description

We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable drivers with a Class 1A or 3A manual license to support our client's potato harvest in Kensington. This is a seasonal role slated to last the month of October, with some potential for extension. The Harvest Driver will operate a range of equipment including dump trucks, straight trucks, tandem trailers, and live-bottom trailers, and must be willing to work a semi-flexible schedule based on weather conditions and harvest progress. If you're looking to be a part of one of the largest harvests on the Island, this position is for you. THE JOB

  • Assist with the transportation of crops from the field to storage facilities, packing sheds, and other locations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspection of equipment, reporting maintenance concerns
  • Maintain accurate transportation and vehicle logs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and production procedures

WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

  • $24.00 - $26.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
  • Seasonal role from October 5, 2026
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., will vary based on conditions and demand

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Class 1A or 3A manual license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Mechanically-oriented, able to perform routine maintenance and identify equipment problems
  • Prior harvest experience an asset
  • CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
