Job Summary
The Desktop Support Technician will provide hands-on support for PC-based computers, mobile devices, and related IT equipment. The position requires technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and attention to detail. You'll play a critical role in diagnosing hardware / software issues, performing installations, asset management, and resolving user concerns to ensure smooth IT operations for both end-users and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues for client PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Perform installations and configurations for hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and local printer issues.
- Document repair activities, customer interactions, and inventory updates.
- Complete asset management and lifecycle tasks for equipment, ensuring accurate records.
- Train clients on basic computer and IT knowledge to empower self-support.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with end-users and team members.
- Maintain accountability for ticket progress and aging, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Continuously learn internal systems and applications to improve efficiency and support capabilities.
