The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is seeking an Apprenticeship Services Consultant for the Regina office and surrounding area until September 2025. This position provides a consultative and advisory service, related to apprenticeship training, tradesperson's certification, the enforcement of The Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Act and regulations.

The successful candidate will evaluate trade experience of tradespersons, apprentices, and journeypersons; monitor apprenticeship training both in school and on the job; provide informational and counselling services by phone and in-person to a diverse clientele; administer trade examinations; visit job sites; promote apprenticeship and trades careers to students, tradespersons, and employers through various venues; complete special assignments related to Commission representative workforce initiatives; and manage assigned work areas.

Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of work-based training principles and the apprenticeship and trade certification process; will have strong time-management skills; will be a strong writer / communicator being able to communicate information orally and in writing to a variety of audiences in a manner that persuades, convinces, builds support, educates, and promotes understanding; will be able to conduct visits at job sites; will be required to travel frequently throughout the province, often in adverse weather conditions, to rural / isolated areas and to work away from home for varied periods of time.

To qualify for this position, you will possess a Journeyperson Certificate. You will also possess a Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, and a current and valid driver’s license.
