Join the City of Medicine Hat as a Summer Arts Instructor
Temporary (16 Week Term), Full time, On Site
Are you passionate about art and looking for hands-on experience in teaching and program planning? Whether you're a student, recent graduate, or someone looking to develop your skills, this Arts Instructor role is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in arts education while making a difference in your community.
As an Arts Instructor, you'll plan, organize, and teach arts classes for children and youth. You'll have the chance to build leadership skills, develop lesson plans, and bring creativity to life-all while working in a fun and supportive environment.
Your key responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging arts classes for children and youth.
- Organize and manage art supplies within a set budget.
- Assist with student registration as needed.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment.
- Work closely with other instructors and staff to coordinate programming.
- Maintain records and submit final reports as required.
