Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Assistant Kitchen Manager at our brand-new Canadian Brewhouse restaurant in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. Your Purpose : The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for acting as a direct support to the Kitchen Manager ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the entire culinary department. They are responsible for ensuring all actions brought forth by the Kitchen Manager are implemented and followed and will oversee the hourly culinary team members as assigned.

The Canadian Brewhouse is a uniquely Canadian themed restaurant and sports bar with an extensive menu of appetizers entrees drinks and great specials. What You Will Do :
Demonstrate the behaviours and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives and The Canadian Brewhouses vision mission and safety principles to make a difference in guests lives
Assist the Kitchen Manager in any capacity
Ensure shift labour budgets are being met making cuts shift by shift to suit business needs
Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules and ensure staff follow the procedures set out
Coach team members continuously and cross train employees between prep and line functions
Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to develop corporate trainers
Assist in communication implementation of procedure changes inventory ordering cleanliness and food storage
Ensure all logs including prep sheets temp logs waste sheets and line checks are completed
Be responsible for completing daily weekly and periodic administrative paperwork recordkeeping and reporting
Follow the Food Safe and Health and Safety manual regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Will Work With :
The Team : Reporting to the Kitchen Manager you will be a key participant in initiating developing and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales service employee satisfaction and guest satisfaction. You will share feedback about programs processes the Assistant Kitchen Manager role events and product launches with the Kitchen Manager General Manager and operational leaders openly honestly and often.

It is a short drive to Prince Albert National Park that houses countless lakes activities and events to choose from! The City of Prince Albert has several parks and recreational activities as well. Who You Are :
You are looking for a career in the restaurant / food service industry and :
You possess 2 years of kitchen experience in a high-volume setting and possess 1-2 years of culinary supervisory experience; you possess a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of technical cooking skills with prep and line knowledge required
You have a basic understanding of food cost controls
You possess or are willing to attain Serve it Right Food Wise and First Aid certifications
You have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations
You have the ability to learn and retain a large and diverse menu
You possess personal organization and time management skills
You have inherent coaching and motivational skills
You handle stress and a fast-paced environment well
You are kind patient reasonable and show empathy
You work well in a dynamic team environment
You have the ability to work urgently while remaining calm
You have a flexible work schedule and will work shifts during peak sales hours i.e. evenings and weekends
