Receiver

About This Role:

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a Receiver for our 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, Ontario!

What You'll Do:

• Unloading of goods in a safe and efficient manner using a counter balance or low lift forklift;

• Verify items received for accuracy against purchase orders (ASNs);

• Report quality variances and ensure accuracy in the type and quantity of received product;

• Enter product information into computer systems;

• Assign active pick locations for new products;

• Apply License Plate Numbers (LPNs) verifying physical quantity of merchandise with quantity indicated on the ASN;

• Clearly sign all transport documentation and indicate any discrepancies;

• Complete non-compliance for vendors who do not follow GTW’s shipping standards.

What You'll Bring:

• Completion of High School;

• Class G2 or higher driver’s licence

• Successful completion of a forklift training program;

• Familiar with material handling equipment;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision;

• Experience with or a basic understanding of personal computer is required;

• Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMOS) experience is an asset;

• Successful candidates must be in good standing for both performance and health & safety.

Various static shifts available for Days, Evenings and Overnights.
