Voyago is hiring School Bus Drivers for our new Student Transportation expansion into Kingston & the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services region this fall!

Requirements

Why You’ll Love This Role

• You are responsible for safely transporting what we call “the most precious cargo” to and from school
• You will ensure students’ safety while boarding, during transit and exiting the bus.
• You will be responsible for performing pre/post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
• You will help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus.

Your profile

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search
• You have a sound knowledge of the Kingston region and surrounding areas
• You have the ability to work independently
• You have the ability to work split shifts that reflect transportation requirements for school age children
• You possess solid communication skills
• Great customer service and communication skills in order to interact with passengers, parents, school employees, co-workers and the general public in a courteous and professional manner
• You meet the required MTO medical standards required to obtain or maintain a B licence

• We offer a competitive hourly pay $23/hour
• You are paid a minimum 4 hours per day!
• You are paid for all pre & post trip inspections, as well as all safety meetings!
• We offer *FREE licence upgrades to a B licence and provide all the training you will need to be successful! *with a 6 month employment commitment - which will not be a challenge since you will love working with us so much!
• We offer all in-class and on road training required in order to Pass a Ministry of Transportation Driver Examination or obtain a certificate of competence from a recognized authority by passing a vision screening, knowledge test and a driving test in a bus of appropriate size!
• We offer a Professional Driver Improvement Course approved by the Ministry of Transportation.
• We provide First Aid, CPR & Epipen paid training!

• The FT comprehensive benefit package is available if you work 30+ hours or more per week.
