Job Summary
The Team
The Dispatch Team at the Provincial Airtanker Center (PATC) is dedicated to supporting wildfire response efforts and enhancing our capabilities with Airtanker resources. This team was first established in 1962 and now consists of 7 Dispatchers, 2 Dispatch Leads, and 1 Supervisor, and they collaborate closely with Air Attack Officers, Fire Centre dispatchers, pilots, and mechanics. The work they do plays a critical role in controlling the spread of wildfires, protecting communities, and saving lives. The Role
In this role as a Dispatcher at the Provincial Airtanker Center, you will be responsible for dispatching aircraft to wildfires using specialized applications and assisting with various Airtanker operations. Your work directly impacts the safety of BC communities, helping to control the spread of wildfires and protect lives and property. This position offers great opportunities for growth, with valuable training in dispatch, aircraft coordination, logistics, and finance. About this Position :

This position has full time on-site requirements.
This temporary opportunity starts in approximately April 2025 and ends in approximately November 2025, with possibility of recall on a yearly basis.
