Description

The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for development and implementation of the recreation programs that provide opportunities for sport and recreation and promote a healthy lifestyle for all community residents of Fort Good Hope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure recreation facilities are maintained in order to ensure safe, clean and appropriate environment for any recreation activities.
• Assist with planning and developing sport and recreation programs to ensure that activities and events are made available for all community members.
• Implement recreation programs to ensure that residents have access to sport, recreation and leisure activities and facilities.
• Preform other related duties as required.
• Knowledge in recreation, sport and leisure program administration management and deliver.
• Good understanding of northern cultural activities and traditional sports and games.
• Can work independently and as a member of a team.
• Excellent time management and reliable.
• Strong social and people skills to deal with variety of age groups.

Qualifications

No qualifications required, but good strong social, people skills and excellent time management. Recreation Program Certification will be an asset.

Hours of work Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm. May have to work after hours and on weekends.
