Hello, my husband and I are looking for a caring and responsible nanny to join us. We are about to have a newborn and are seeking someone who can provide excellent care tailored to a small child’s needs. Location: Blind Bay, BC (postal code V0E 1H1) — work in employer’s home Wage: From $20.00/hour, negotiable based on experience/qualifications (paid bi-weekly) Hours: Ideally, 30–45 hrs/week, permanent, full-time. However, can explore part-time or summer if needed Start date: April 1, 2026 (flexible) Language: English required Vacancies: 1 Transportation: Ideal, but not required (candidate already in Canada preferred). Total 30–45 hours/week, with OT paid per BC ESA. Living arrangements (optional) A private basement suite with its own kitchen and full bathroom is available if you’d like to live in. Live-out is welcome too — live-in is not required. Responsibilities Engaging playtime & reading; plan age-appropriate activities Prepare simple wholesome meals/snacks for the child(ren) Light housekeeping related to the child (tidy play areas, dishes, child laundry) Follow daily routines (naps/bedtime); keep a brief daily log Accompany to local activities/appointments; driving is an asset but not required Maintain a safe, caring environment at all times Occasional travel (domestic and international) with family will be a possibility Occasional over night care/help Preferred qualifications CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) Experience with infants/toddlers/preschoolers Strong communication, reliability, and a warm, patient approach Personal transportation is an asset (not required) Valid work authorization in Canada If you feel you’re the right fit for our family, please message me for more details and to discuss the opportunity further.
