About the Client
Our client is a leading arboriculture services provider in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to promoting healthy and sustainable urban environments. With a focus on excellence and safety, their team is committed to delivering superior tree care services to both residential and commercial clients. They are actively seeking an Arborist Apprentice to join their team and grow within the dynamic and rewarding field of arboriculture.
Role Overview
The Arborist Apprentice will play a vital role in supporting the certified arborists in all aspects of tree care, including pruning, planting, and safe removals. This hands-on position offers an excellent opportunity to develop arboriculture skills, learn industry best practices, and gain certification while contributing to Calgary’s urban forestry efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist certified arborists with tree care tasks such as pruning, removals, planting, and stump grinding.
- Operate and maintain arboriculture equipment, including chainsaws, wood chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Support ground operations by clearing debris, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining worksite organization. Learn and adhere to industry standards for tree health and maintenance.
- Uphold and promote workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent). Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to safety. Passion for arboriculture and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
